CC Group 8_ Pon Island Final Animation.mp4
As we want to use the animation for our final game we decided on working with the ideas we already had. Therefore, here is our game concept idea.
Our final project centers around an exploration adventure game that combines elements from Animal Crossing, Zelda and HayDay, with a magical twist. The game is set on a large, floating island that has been split into four islands due to a powerful storm. The player will begin their journey on the main island, tasked with exploring the surrounding islands to gather materials and magical orbs that allow them to rebuild pathways and reconnect their world.

The primary game mechanic is gravity manipulation, given to the player by the orbs they collect, to solve environmental puzzles and traverse the islands. The overall goal is to reunite the islands and restore balance to the world.
The softwares that were used were Ableton live 12 for the music and sound, Procreate for drawing the scenes and assets and CapCut to put the animation together. All assets and music are hand drawn and selfmade. The introductory video for the game is on the world building scale and serves two key purposes:
Scene 1: The Floating Island
The video opens with a wide shot of the floating island, suspended in the sky. The landscape is tranquil, with a small house, fields of crops, and trees swaying in a light breeze.
Scene 2: The Main Character
The camera zooms in on the house, where the door creaks open and the main character steps outside. They start walking and the background moves.
